Alhamdulillah! The 6-acre District West Hockey Ground (ST-14, Block B, Scheme No. II, North Nazimabad) has been retrieved from the land mafia and its possession has been officially handed over to Karachi Hockey Association.
This land was originally with Hockey Association West and was under illegal encroachment for the last 20+ years.
This historic recovery was made possible due to the great efforts of Dr. Junaid Ali Shah, Former President & currently Patron KHA, and Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah, Former Secretary Sports & currently President KHA.
On the orders of the Hon’ble High Court, NAB conducted an investigation and, on the recommendation of DG NAB Karachi, NAB Judge Hon’ble Mr. Abdul Ghani Soomro issued the Possession Order a few months ago, and the Chairman NAB Karachi directed KDA to restore the possession to KHA.
Currently, Olympian Hanif Khan is serving as Secretary KHA, and with his dedication, KHA is moving forward.
With the support of DC Central, a state-of-the-art Sports Complex will be built here soon.
This plot will now be known as Karachi Hockey Association (KHA) Complex.
